We did an event recently where we went CARAMEL CRAZY! We made Caramashew Cups (Dark chocolate cups with a rich, chewy cashew/caramel/coconut center. Very rich. Very delicious!) and Peanut Butter Caramel Cups (Even better than our classic peanut butter cups, IMHO.)

WOW! What a positive response we got! So….

Before the weather gets too warm and we have to remove the chocolates from our menu, we decided to share the Caramashew and Peanut Butter Caramel Cups with you all.

These GIANT cups come in our basic packaging; biodegradable cello bags. Six GIANT cups are $32.00. We are offering them on their own, or in combination with our peanut butter cups. You can also get the peanut butter cups on their own if you like.

Good news! Good news! The amazing folks behind Vegan Shop Up are bringing the fun to Manhattan…. this Saturday, March 24th, from noon until 5 pm.

We are excited about this event! It’s in a TEA store! TEA!!!

Specifics:  “You’ll enter the beautiful tea shop, In Pursuit of Tea, at 33 Crosby St., and walk straight back to a sunlit room where we’ll be set up.”

Moving right along… It’s in Manhattan which is quite convenient for lots of folks who don’t want to come to Bushwick, so we have a chance to meet some more of you!

We’ve been working on a few new items. We are still finalizing the menu, but for now….

• chocolate cups (PB, caramashew,surprise)
• brownies (coconut, chai nut)
• crystallized ginger
• apple coffee cake (?)
• sweet potato cornbread (?)

We are particularly excited to be sampling and selling our chai nut brownie for the first time!  We are really in love with this NEW flavor. The chai brownies are not all CHAI CHAI CHAI. The spices and nuts enhance the fruity elements provided by  apricot and agave to perfection!  There is no chai bite when you taste this brownie. The chai is an integral part of the overall flavor.

I can go on about a brownie.

Vegan/grain-free vanilla and cocoa spice macaroons

As a vegan, I find that as holidays come up, the best way I can relate to them is with a positive food memory. If I think too hard about the meaning and customs of many holidays, I will find myself sitting home on a lot of holidays. Passover, to me is a lovely Spring meal with a bit of ritual, a treasure hunt and MACAROONS!

So I will tuck a box of Gone Pie macaroons under my arm and head to my Seder! Or maybe I will just send a box and stay home with my cats…

About our macaroons:

We use a blend of non-grain flours, coconut products and agave in our vegan version of this Passover classic. Please be advised our bakery is not fully cleansed of grains (Chametz). The macaroons themselves, are 100% grain-free and unleavened.

Ingredients: organic coconut, organic agave nectar,organic coconut milk, organic coconut flour, almond flour, tapioca flour, organic coconut oil, grain-free vanilla or cocoa and spices, sea salt.

Your macaroon choices:

Each order is a box of 8 macaroons. Macaroons are available in vanilla or cocoa spice. Each box is $18.00. If you order two boxes to the same address, we can combine shipping and refund you $5.00 before we ship your macaroons out. Such a deal!

These are rich fudgy brownies with marshmallows and almonds baked in. And then we construct the layers of marshmallow, chocolate, almonds, coconut flakes and frosting. Lots of frosting! frosting is the glue. These ship in a 6 x 9 tin.
